Lake Land summer enrollment is up

MATTOON -- Enrollment for the summer interim session at Lake Land College is up nearly 9%. Students are taking advantage of the historic $100 tuition guarantee and flex-scheduling options. More than 1,400 students are enrolled this summer, resulting in an 8.8% increase in head counts. It is also an 8.1% increase in full-time equivalency. VANDALIA -- Vandalia city leadership can breathe a sigh of relief upon the release of a "memorandum" Wednesday from the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC). NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met in its regular session on Monday, July 11. Among the issues on deck are ongoing complaints relating to the declining quality of its water.
