
MATTOON — The Lake Land College Foundation will host its annual Golf Classic soon. The event will be on Friday, Sept. 30, at the Mattoon Golf and Country Club. The outing will be in the popular four-man scramble format. Registration and lunch for golfers will begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon.
Golfers can register as a team of four or individually. Individual players are welcome to sign up, as all players will be on a team. However, there is a limitation of 144 golfers.
The entry fee is $125 per golfer or $500 per team of four, which includes lunch, 18 holes, a cart, and refreshments.
All proceeds assist the Foundation, which builds relationships supporting and enhancing educational opportunities. They also provide services to students through financial support from alumni and friends.

The outing is possible with the support of the event’s sponsors. They include Veregy, Effingham Asphalt Co., Scott State Bank, Planning Design Studio, The First National Bank, North American Lighting, and Country Financial –Donsbach/Meinhart.
