At 1:06 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service announced an extension to the current Heat Advisory, which was initially to expire at 9 p.m. Tuesday. Other areas received an extension to the advisory yesterday evening. The amended Heat Advisory is now set to expire at 9 p.m. on Thursday.
