SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday the third official notice of funding opportunity through the Illinois National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program, which will provide approximately $65.6 million for the construction of charging stations across the state. Heat Advisory extended to Thursday

A Heat Advisory currently in place has now been extended to Thursday evening. At 1:06 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service announced an extension to the current Heat Advisory, which was initially to expire at 9 p.m. Tuesday. Other areas received an extension to the advisory yesterday evening. The amended Heat Advisory is now set to expire at 9 p.m. on Thursday. The Bi-State region will be experiencing humid conditions and scorching extreme heat this weekend through early next week.
