The history of Heartland Media Networks of Central Illinois (and its Eastern Missouri counterpart) predates the launch of the company, dating back to 2016 with Heartland Newsfeed seeking to disrupt journalism for the better.
Heartland Newsfeed has been serving Central Illinois since 2016 with its local news coverage.
That mission further expanded in 2022 and 2023 with the closure of many newspapers, therefore creating news deserts.
As a result, we added portions of Southern Illinois in 2022 and 2023.
Also in 2022, we began news coverage in Eastern Missouri, including the Mississippi River Valley.
Instrumental to our operations are several divisions, spanning across print, radio, and digital:
Heartland Digital
Heartland Digital operates the day-to-day operations for its two Internet radio stations — Heartland Newsfeed Radio Network and Revolution Radio — and podcasting for the radio network and Heartland Newsfeed Podcast Network.
The division launched in May 2024, as the result of dividing segments of the business that managed digital operations and advertising.
Provision Media Group
Provision Media Group handles all advertising sales for Heartland Newsfeed, and all broadcast channels, including radio and podcasting. We will assist you throughout the whole marketing process up to and even after the launch of your ad campaign.
The division launched in May 2024, as the result of dividing segments of the business that managed digital operations and advertising.
Heartland Production Studios
Heartland Production Studios handles all production matters relating to podcasting, particularly any audio production in partnership with another media group.
This division has been in operation since September 2019 with projects in the works.
Illinois Heartland Press
Illinois Heartland Press handles all print media matters, which includes but not limited to small project printing jobs and distribution contracts for existing newspapers.
This division has been in operation since January 2018 with distribution contracts currently with the Nokomis Free Press-Progress, Oakland Independent, Prairie Pulse, and the Daily Eastern News.
