Nokomis Area Fire Protection District responds to 16 fires in 2016

NOKOMIS (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Nokomis Area Fire Protection District responded to 20 calls in 2016, according to data obtained by Heartland Newsfeed from the National Fire Incident Reporting System. The calls comprised of ten structure fires, three vehicle fires and three other fires. Included in the report were four false calls. Damage estimates of $253,700 was quoted or roughly $15,856 per fire. Also cited in the report were two fire-related civilian injuries.
