TAYLORVILLE -- A Taylorville High School employee has pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. Adam Cherry was under investigation after a district employee tipped off the school board that he was using drugs while on duty. An investigation was performed by Taylorville Police Department. Cherry was arrested during a traffic stop on meth possession and possession of drug paraphernalia before entering the school. Prior to the arrest, Cherry was a nighttime custodian. MORGAN COUNTY -- An automotive accident early Tuesday morning on U.S. 67 in Morgan County has taken the life of a Greene County woman. The Illinois State Police reported the accident shortly after 8:15 a.m. Traffic was closed at the intersection of U.S. 67 and Woodson-Winchester Road for several hours before reopening several hours later. HILLSBORO -- A statement from the Illinois Department of Corrections last week concluded that substances discovered at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro tested as nasal spray and baby powder. First responders would respond at Graham Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 18 for "overdose-like symptoms."
