Weekly unemployment claims rise slightly

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- Weekly unemployment claims for the week ending Sept. 30 rose to a seasonally adjusted 207,000, the Labor Department reported on Thursday. The total for initial unemployment benefits represented a jump of 2,000 from the previous week, the second straight weekly increase. Prices still relatively high

(Missourinet) -- Gas prices in Missouri are heading in the right direction, according to AAA Missouri. The average price for regular-unleaded in the Show-Me State is $3.58 a gallon – that’s nine cents a gallon lower than it was a week ago.
