NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis Public Library hosted the University of Illinois Extension on Tuesday as part of the library's Summer Reading Program. According to a news release from library director Lisa Casterline, the program had 15 children and five adults in attendance for the Extension's presentation on small mammals in Illinois. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis Public Library announced the kickoff of its annual Summer Reading Program earlier this week. The summer program, which has been held for many years at the library, kicked off on Tuesday. It will run through August 5 prior to the start of the 2024-25 academic year. FARMERSVILLE -- The Illuminatus MC of Illinois is hosting its ninth annual car, truck, and bike show on Saturday, July 13, at the Farmersville square. "Read, Renew, Repeat" Summer Reading Program Registration for the summer reading program "Read, Renew, Repeat!" will begin on Monday, June 3. NOKOMIS -- Patrons of the Nokomis Township Public Library have noticed that they are now operating under summer hours. The transition, which went into effect Monday, will now have the library open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
