BLOOMINGTON -- Dan White, a farmer from Irving, was elected to the GROWMARK Board of Directors. White has served on FS boards for 33 years and is currently president of the M&M Service Company board. WITT -- Witt Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Friday, July 19 on East Mitchell Street. NOKOMIS -- The Board of Education of Nokomis CUSD #22 met in regular session on Tuesday, July 16. Nokomis Superintendent Dr. Scott Doerr presented the monthly business report, in which he reported that the state has paid all mandated categorical payments except one payment of $1,240.96 for driver's education. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis Public Library hosted the University of Illinois Extension on Tuesday as part of the library's Summer Reading Program.
