WITT -- The Witt Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire early Wednesday morning. The department would receive the dispatch call at 3:42 a.m., with Command 300 being the first to arrive on the scene of the fire on Monroe Street. NOKOMIS -- Severe thunderstorms and straight-line winds made for a rough evening earlier this week. The storms struck the panhandle and eastern regions of Montgomery County on Sunday, leaving considerable damage in their wake.
