NOKOMIS — The City of Nokomis hired an interim Chief of Police during its Monday, July 27 meeting. An EXTREME HEAT WARNING will be in effect later this morning and will run through Monday night. The National Weather Service in St. Louis announced the warning earlier this morning. HILLSBORO -- 60 Hardee's locations are at risk, including a location in Hillsboro, following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing last week in Kentucky.
