PANA -- A Pana man was arrested Thursday and charged with possession of child pornography, as part of a statewide effort from Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul to apprehend traffickers of lewd images online. HILLSBORO -- Montgomery County has been issued a tentative property assessment equalization factor of 1.0000, according to David Harris, director of the Illinois Department of Revenue. The property assessment equalization factor, often called the “multiplier,” is the method used to achieve uniform property assessments among counties, as required by law. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council approved two new city employee hires during its regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 14. The opening for a full-time wastewater employee is now closed, following the hire of Jerome Taylor. The hire is in immediate effect and Taylor will start work this week.
