QUINCY — Ben Van Ness, vice president and general manager at WGEM in Quincy, confirmed Friday morning that Makenzi Henderson is no longer employed by the Gray Television-owned station. Van Ness did not elaborate on any reasoning for the 38-year-old Henderson's departure in the announcement. Henderson was the anchor for the station's 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts. Vandalia facing multiple charges in Fayette County

VANDALIA -- A Vandalia man is facing multiple charges in Fayette County court. 40-year-old Michael L. Kimrey of Vandalia has been charged with aggravated battery to a police officer for allegedly shoving a correctional officer to the ground. The charge is a Class 2 felony.  Kimrey is also charged with criminal damage to property of between $500 and $10,000 for allegedly damaging two windows and drywall at a residence on West Jefferson Street in Vandalia. That charge is a Class 4 felony.
