Average gas prices in Illinois have risen 9.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.32/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 4,378 stations in Illinois. EDWARDSVILLE -- A Granite City man will spent 25 years in prison after admitting in Madison County Circuit Court that he committed child sex offenses involving an underage girl and fathered a child with her. Eli L. Winters, 26, pleaded guilty Tuesday, July 28, to child sexual abuse material and criminal sexual abuse. SPRINGFIELD -- The Diocese of Springfield is facing a new lawsuit alleging that a former priest sexually abused an altar boy at St. Mary’s Catholic School and Parish in Taylorville.
