Christian County police blotter

TAYLORVILLE — The following police blotter items come courtesy of the Christian County Sheriff’s Department for the dates of November 1-12, 2023:

Accidents

Nov. 1: A vehicle driven by Corbin Stevenson, no age or address reported, was northbound on 1250E Road at about 750N when a deer entered the roadway from the east and was struck. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 7: Vehicles driven by Jerry Hochstetler and Rainey Mitsdarffer, no ages or addresses reported, were involved in a traffic crash in Pana Township. Hochstetler was traveling north on U.S. Route 51 at approximately 448N when a tire flew off the back of his trailer. The tire entered the southbound lane and struck Mitsdarffer’s vehicle. No injuries and the vehicles were driven from the scene.

Nov. 8: A vehicle driven by David Menossi, no age or address reported, was westbound on 1500N Road at approximately 790E when it struck a deer in the roadway. No
injuries were reported and the vehicle was driven from the scene.

Nov. 10: A vehicle driven by Sue Dodd, no age or address reported, was northbound on U. S. 51 in Pana Township when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Nov. 12: A vehicle driven by Lynn Laurent, no age or address reported, was westbound on Illinois Route 16 at approximately 2050E when it struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle was towed from the scene.
