CHARLESTON -- The Panthers of Eastern Illinois University are polling dead last in an Ohio Valley Conference preseason poll Tuesday. The coaches of the conference are predicting that the Panthers men's basketball squad will perform poorly in conference action in the 2023-24 season. CHARLESTON -- Eastern Illinois University is suspending all competition for the men's swimming team in the interim while an investigation is underway on hazing allegations. EIU Athletics is investigating "credible" hazing reports presented to head coach Johnathan Jordan.
