SPRINGFIELD -- Montgomery County has been issued a final property assessment equalization factor of 1.0000. This is according to David Harris, director of the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR). The property assessment equalization factor, often called the "multiplier," is the method used to achieve uniform property assessments among counties, as required by law. NOKOMIS (Heartland Newsfeed) -- The Illinois State Police is conducting an independent investigation of an officer-involved shooting that took place Friday evening, June 15 in Nokomis, according to a press release made available Monday afternoon. PANA (Illinois News Network) -- Veterans in hospice care are being honored by fellow vets with pinning ceremonies to commemorate their service in the armed forces.
