The tentative Montgomery County budget for fiscal year 2018 came in with a deficit of approximately $600,000 in the General Fund. The General Fund supports many of the offices and services citizens use everyday. The General Fund projected revenues for 2018 are $5.8 million, the same as 2010. Texas couple killed in crash on Interstate 55 near Litchfield after van sideswiped

LITCHFIELD (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Two people from Carrollton, Texas were killed in a crash early Saturday on Interstate 55 near Litchfield after their van was sideswiped by another vehicle. Luis Paulet, 49, and passenger Liz Alejo Mora de Paulet, 31, were ejected and pronounced dead on the scene by Montgomery County coroner Randy Leetham.
