TAYLORVILLE -- According to Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp, their jail is out-of-date and needs urgent improvements. The Christian County Correctional Center was built in 1977. This granted Grain Belt Express the ability to construct high voltage direct current power transmission lines in Illinois. This is, unfortunately, with the use of the right of eminent domain.
