Expect the remainder of your Independence Day holiday and most of this week to be hot and unbearable in the bi-state region. The National Weather Service in St. Louis has activated a Heat Advisory Sunday afternoon. It will officially be in effect as of noon Monday, July 4. High temperatures and high humidity create hazardous conditions with heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees on Monday. Stolen motorcycle gets Shelby County man behind bars

SHELBYVILLE -- An incident relating to a stolen motorcycle leads to multiple charges filed against a Shelby County man. Elijah Keppler, 29, of Tower Hill, is accused of entering a building and stealing a Yamaha motorcycle. The office of Shelby County State's Attorney Nichole Kroncke states that Keppler was in the possession of methamphetamine (meth). PANA -- The Pana CUSD #8 school board gave approval to its 2022-23 fiscal budget during its regular meeting on Monday, June 20.
