Submissions being accepted for fall rummage sales in Nokomis

NOKOMIS -- The city of Nokomis’ inaugural citywide rummage sales will occur on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16. Delivery of submissions can be via a couple of ways. E-mail submissions to Jake Leonard at [email protected]. Call Leonard at (217) 565-9273. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Friday, October 1. Half Witt Winery is celebrating its second anniversary in business this Labor Day weekend. David and Gail Bradshaw opened the establishment on August 24, 2019, offering seven of their award-winning wines. Water was the common theme of discussion during the Witt City Council’s meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 24. Alderman Tim Taylor presented the water report, informing the council that the altitude valve feeding Irving’s water supply has broken.
