TAYLORVILLE -- The last of the independently owned Big R Stores in the state of Illinois is under new ownership. They have been acquired by Quincy-based Farm and Home Supply. HILLSBORO/JACKSONVILLE -- A Hillsboro woman with a last known address in Waverly wanted in several Central Illinois counties on various charges is back on the run. NEAR TAYLORVILLE -- The Christian County Sheriff's Department (CCSD) is investigating a traffic crash near Taylorville resulting in the dead of a 31-year-old Nokomis man. NOKOMIS/BUTLER -- The Nokomis Woman’s Club met on October 14 at the Nokomis City Park, then drove to Bremer Sanctuary in Butler, which is the Hickory Hills chapter of the Illinois Audubon Society.
