HILLSBORO — Montgomery County Clerk Sandy Leitheiser reports that the County Clerk’s office recently received a copy of the 2021 Illinois Department of Corrections Jail Inspection Report. This report has an annual issuing to Montgomery County Sheriff Rick Robbins for the Montgomery County Jail.
As required by state law, this report is now available for public review in the County Clerk’s office.
In the report, Illinois Criminal Justice Specialists did note improvements that have been made to the County Jail since the 2020 annual inspection. The Jail Inspection Report would also provide non-compliances with Illinois County Jail Standards.
The new Inspection Report is now available for public review in the Montgomery County Clerk’s office. The office is located on the first floor of the Historic Courthouse in Hillsboro.
Questions relating to the contents of the report should go to Sheriff Rick Robbins at (217) 532-9511.
