The Rotary eClub of Central Illinois (RECI) met via Zoom teleconference on Tuesday, Oct. 5. RECI is making final preparations for its Pints for Polio fundraiser, which will be held Sunday, Oct. 24 at Opera House Brewing Company in Hillsboro. Female resident found deceased in Assumption fire

An Assumption woman is deceased as a result of a structure fire on the 100 block of North Locust Street. On Tuesday, September 21 at 1 p.m., Christian/Shelby 911 received a call regarding heavy smoke and flames from what was discovered to be 112 North Locust Street.
