SULLIVAN -- Dozens of residents will soon be displaced by the upcoming closure of a Sullivan nursing home on the east side of town. Petersen Healthcare announced the closure of Mason Point Tuesday, effective September 12. Students taking advantage of tuition guarantee and flex-scheduling options

MATTOON -- Enrollment for the summer interim session at Lake Land College is up nearly 9%. Students are taking advantage of the historic $100 tuition guarantee and flex-scheduling options. More than 1,400 students are enrolled this summer, resulting in an 8.8% increase in head counts. It is also an 8.1% increase in full-time equivalency.
