VILLA GROVE -- Illinois American Water (IAW) announced on September 22 the acquisition of Villa Grove's water and wastewater systems. The newly acquired systems add approximately 1,489 water and 1,069 wastewater customers to the Company’s eastern Illinois service area. One dead in Interstate 55 accident

FARMERSVILLE -- A truck driver from Northern Illinois is dead following an accident last week in the panhandle of Montgomery County. The accident, which occurred last Thursday, Sept. 22, occurred two-and-a-half miles north of Farmersville along Interstate 55. SHELBYVILLE -- A Shelbyville man is facing elderly sexual abuse and aggravated battery charges. This comes via a news release Friday from the office of Shelby County State's Attorney Nichole Kroncke.
