SPRINGFIELD -- Perry County has been given a tentative property assessment equalization factor of 1.0158 for taxes payable in 2026, according to the Illinois Department of Revenue. TAYLORVILLE -- Christian County has reported its first West Nile virus-positive mosquito sample of the 2026 season, the Christian County Health Department said Wednesday.
