CEO in Montgomery County announces new class

NOKOMIS — The Montgomery County CEO program will have a heavy presence from the Nokomis school district next school year.

In a post on the CEO website last week, six of the ten students for the 2022-23 group are from Nokomis High School. They include Natalie Engelman, Carley King, Zaylon Sisk, Matthew Ulrici, Mason Morris, and Elijah Aumann.

Also participating are Summer Smith and Morgan Jarrell from Hillsboro High School and Hally Kerske and Matthew Barker from Lincolnwood High School.

The new group recently held its orientation night. CEO chairwoman Heather Hampton-Knodle and program facilitator Jodi Reynolds reviewed the expectation and key concepts of the program.

The program is an actual class that CEO students earn towards their graduation. For 90 minutes per school day between 7:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., they go to varying locations to learn about the business world.

The 2022-23 program year will officially kick off in August when the new school year begins.
