RAYMOND — The Raymond Village Board was called to order at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18.

A motion was made by Trustee Krager and seconded by Trustee Snyder to approve the minutes of the Nov. 4 meeting and the financial report for October. All voted in favor with the exception of Poggenpohl, who voted present. The motion carried.

In streets and alleys, the Christmas lights are up and the board would like to thank the fire department for all the repairs, hard work, and time from their lives to get the beautiful decorations up. The street department is prepared with road salt and sidewalk salt for any upcoming weather. The backhoe is getting close to the warranty running out and if anything needs fixing, it was stated to get it in now.

An issue with the air conditioning was mentioned and will be looked into. The idea to put a metal cage in the Greenwalt building and lock up any tools for extra safety measures was brought up and will be looked into further. The Christmas tree, which has been a tradition since 2013, will arrive on Friday, Nov. 22.

In water and sewer, the issues the water department was having with chlorine getting into the facility have been figured out. They received the sludge report and Bedinger sent a letter to the IRWA thanking them for helping solve the issue. Some more samples of sludge will be sent off soon. The van has had the engine light come on and it is burning oil and the tires need replacing.

In golf course updates, dirt will be hauled away and an air compressor will be used for the irrigation system. Things are coming to a close at the golf course for the season.

There is a fundraiser for Donna Lemon who used to work for the Panhandle School District, she has had to undergo brain surgery. There will be an event at the KC Hall on March 29, 2025, to help raise funds.

With nothing further to discuss, a motion was made by Trustee Hough and seconded by Trustee Poggenpohl to adjourn the meeting. All present voted in favor and the motion carried.

In attendance were Village President Denny Held, trustees Dan Hough, Greg Bernhardt, Ryan Bruntjen, Bruce Poggenpohl, Kendall Snyder, and Bill Krager. Also present were Sally Broaddus, Devin Bedinger, Taylor Link, Rick Broaddus, Jason McCallum, and Wayne Angle.
