SALEM — The Marion County Farm Bureau Foundation is once again offering grants to Marion County ag teachers.
The grants, up to $350 per teacher, will help cover ag activities in the classroom for the 2024-25 academic year. They can also be utilized to fund any project promoting awareness of agriculture.
Project funds can be requested for field trips, resources, supplies, books, special projects, and more, as long as the applicant can relate their activity to the ag industry.
Projects should focus on integrating agriculture into various curriculum areas, and teachers are encouraged to be creative when developing a viable ag experience for students.
Applications outlining the project, goals, objectives, and desired outcomes must be submitted online by October 1.
Final grant amounts will be determined by the Marion County Farm Bureau Foundation board of directors, but will not exceed $350 per award.
Grant awardees will receive communications via email. All grant monies must be spent by the end of the 2024-25 academic year. A link will be sent out for final reports to be submitted by May 31, 2025.
Reimbursements for projects can be done at any time following project completion and after submission of the final report.
To date, Marion County Farm Bureau’s Foundation has awarded over $75,000 in classroom grants to Marion County teachers.
More information is available on the ag teacher grants by calling the Marion County Farm Bureau office at (618) 548-2100 or by emailing [email protected].
