LITCHFIELD — Cody Ratermann, MD of Damiansville has signed to practice in Litchfield with Litchfield Family Practice Center, LLP beginning early fall 2025.
Dr. Ratermann attended Mater Dei Catholic High School, graduating as valedictorian in 2012. From there, he attended Washington University in St. Louis, MO, earning a bachelor’s degree in pre-med anthropology. He also played football while attending Wash U.
Dr. Ratermann completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, which specializes in rural-track family medicine. LFPC was lucky to host Dr. Ratermann as a med student when he worked with Dr. Johnson.
Dr. Ratermann is currently completing his family medicine residency with ProHealth Care in Waukesha, WI. He has plans to continue his time in Waukesha by completing a year-long obstetrical fellowship starting this summer.
When not in the hospital or clinic, Dr. Ratermann can be found reading non-fiction books on his back patio, traveling with his wife, or exploring the great outdoors – especially hiking in the country’s national parks. He stays active through weight training and conditioning, biking, and playing golf.
Dr. Ratermann has felt like a part of the LFPC “family” for quite some time now, and they are thrilled to be able to announce his joining the practice. Dr. Ratermann will practice full-scope family medicine, including obstetrics and delivering babies, as well as rounding on patients at St. Francis Hospital.
Dr. Ratermann is excited to return to the area with his wife, Abby, so he can focus on building a medical practice at LFPC and they can start putting roots down closer to family and friends.
