NOKOMIS — Beginning in the new year, the Nokomis Public Library will have updated hours. Effective January 2, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during the week and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, according to library director Lisa Casterline.

“We hope that the new consistent opening and closing times work well with the needs of the community,” Casterline said. “We encourage patrons who need access to our library materials outside of these hours to use our online catalog.”

Patrons can use their library cards and passwords to access the online platform to browse, request, renew, or download electronic and audiobooks from their phone, tablet, or personal computer at any time.

Additional information about the platform can be found by dropping by the library, 100 N. Spruce St. This information is also available by calling (217) 563-2734 or by accessing the library’s website.
