NORMAL — Commuters in Normal should experience some traffic delays beginning Thursday as a result of lane reductions for construction work.
Short-term northbound traffic lane reductions on South Fell Avenue
There will be a lane closure northbound on South Fell Avenue beginning early Thursday morning.
The lane closure will be on Fell Avenue between Beaufort and College Avenue in order to perform pavement repairs.
The closure begins at 4 a.m. on Thursday and is expected to be completed by 4 p.m. on Friday, weather permitting. All lanes will reopen on Thursday at 3 p.m. and will resume reduced traffic on Friday until completion of the repairs.

Wiley Drive closure to run through October 20
A longer-term closure will begin Thursday along Wiley Drive.
The lane reduction will be on Wiley Drive between West College Avenue and Valley View Drive. The closure is to allow for pavement repairs.
The lane closure will begin at 7 a.m. and will remain closed until 3 p.m. on October 20, weather permitting.
Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through both affected areas.
