CHICAGO -- Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker announced Friday that the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) is rolling out a new service. The new service is a joint effort of IDHS' division of mental health and the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). SULLIVAN -- Dozens of residents will soon be displaced by the upcoming closure of a Sullivan nursing home on the east side of town. Petersen Healthcare announced the closure of Mason Point Tuesday, effective September 12. MATTOON -- Enrollment for the summer interim session at Lake Land College is up nearly 9%. Students are taking advantage of the historic $100 tuition guarantee and flex-scheduling options. More than 1,400 students are enrolled this summer, resulting in an 8.8% increase in head counts. It is also an 8.1% increase in full-time equivalency.
