Illinois early deer hunting numbers up region-wide

SPRINGFIELD -- Illinois hunters have harvested just over 47,000 deer during the first weekend of firearm season. This first weekend was from Nov. 20-22. The overall total of 47,147 falls just over 3,000 short of the 2019 mark of 50,173. These figures come from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. NOKOMIS -- According to a report from the Nokomis Memorial Park District, they have some good news for their pool. However, there's a slight bit of extra work to do until then.
