SPRINGFIELD -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is increasing the amount of funding available for the Spot Market Hog Pandemic Program (SMHPP). They expect to issue approximately $62.8 million in pandemic assistance payments to hog producers starting this week. SMHPP assists eligible producers who sold hogs through a spot market sale between April 16 and September 1 of 2020. GRAPEVINE, Tex. (UPI) -- Video game retailer GameStop fired its chief financial officer and announced a series of layoffs on Thursday. The company publicly announced that it had terminated the employment of CFO Michael Recupero, with Chief Accounting Officer Diana Saadeh-Jajeh stepping into the role. DEERFIELD (The Center Square) – Caterpillar, one of Illinois' top employers, is moving its corporate headquarters from the Chicago suburbs to Irving, Texas, the company announced Tuesday.
