NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met for its regular session on Monday, June 8. Present were Mayor Dylan Goldsmith and Commissioners Scott Arkebauer and Charlie O'Malley. Also present were City Clerk Rachel Cassidy, City Attorney Chris Sherer, Tim Chumley, and Police Chief Earin Land. Commissioners Michael Glenn and Tisha Morris were absent. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis City Council met for its rescheduled regular session on Monday, Jan. 29. The initial meeting was set for one week prior, but was postponed due to severe winter weather. In public comments, Alex Siefert expressed concerns about the city's pending fees for low-speed electric-powered and gas-powered bicycles. NOKOMIS -- A crucial emergency service in the Nokomis area has demoted its service level of operations during a special meeting on Thursday, Dec. 21. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis Chamber of Commerce met at noon on Thursday, September 7 inside the council chambers at the city complex.
