Hope Hicks named permanent White House communications director

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- Hope Hicks, the interim White House communications director, is now the permanent director, a White House spokesperson confirmed Tuesday. Hicks, 28, was among the first of President Donald Trump's staffers in his presidential campaign, and became interim communications director in August. She replaced Anthony Scaramucci, who was removed from the position in July; Scaramucci replaced Mike Dubke, who resigned in May.
