NOKOMIS -- A long-time business is no more after being in Nokomis for over a century. Ronchetti Distributing shuttered its operations on Friday in both Nokomis and Mattoon as the result of a sale. Ronchetti Distributing was established in Benld in 1906 by coal miners Felix and John Ronchetti. EDWARDSVILLE — Work is underway on resurfacing Illinois Route 159. This will mean some overnight lane closures, weather permitting. NOKOMIS -- Land of Lincoln Credit Union -- LLCU -- has given the new Nokomis library additional funds to complete its project. DECATUR/NOKOMIS -- Land of Lincoln Credit Union -- LLCU -- of Decatur and Nokomis Savings Bank -- NSB -- have entered into an acquisition agreement. QUINCY -- Jury selection will begin in Adams County Court Monday in the murder trial of Timothy W. Bliefnick. Bliefnick, 39, is facing charges of two counts first-degree murder and one count of home invasion. The charges stem from a February shooting death of his wife Rebecca Bliefnick.
