TAYLORVILLE — Published Court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Brad Paisley from the Fourth Judicial Circuit presided over the following cases, which were heard on October 17 and 19, 2023.
Skye A. Halleman, 21CF114, 22CF247. (Two counts for possession of five or less grams of meth/ served ten days in jail with credit for five, two years of probation and thirty hours of community.) A status update was provided during the preliminary hearing and an additional status hearing was set for January 16, 2024
Troy J. Woods, 23CF142. (Three counts of possessing or moving explicit material involving a child with a disability.) The preliminary hearing found probable cause for the charges. The final pre-trial was scheduled for November 21, 2023 and jury trial will be on December 4, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. 12-4 8:30 am
Keith J. Weller, 21CF58, 19CF206, 21CF209. (Aggravated domestic battery involving a strangle; aggravated domestic battery; two counts for possession of five or less grams of meth.) A status on a treatment referral was rescheduled for November 17, 2023.
Nicholas L. Steele, 22CF230, 22CF253. (Possession of meth in an amount under five grams; theft of $150 worth of motor fuel with a previous conviction.)Pre-trial was rescheduled for December 15, 2023.
Jerry W. Riggs, 20CF147, 23CF21. (Eight counts for the delivery of five or less grams of meth with four of the counts amended or reduced. served 148 days in jail with credit for 74 served. Serving two years of probation.) There was a status hearing for a problem solving court referral and the matters have been continued to November 28, 2023.
Donald E. Runyon, Jr. 9CF59, 021CF170. (Two counts for possession of five or less gram of meth.) There was a status update on the petition to revoke probation and the next pre-trial hearing will be held on December 12, 2023 at 11 a.m.
Kylee E. (Miller) Mathes, 21CF73, 22CF147. (Possession of five or less grams of meth; possession of a controlled substance/ twenty-four months of probation, thirty hours of community service with credit for two days; forgery of a document.) The defendant is given notice to appear for court on Oct. 31, 2023. at 10 a.m.
Joshua D. Foil, 22CF153 (Aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.) The plea hearing was reset for December 1, 2023.
Alonzo J. Hoyer, 23CF41. (Domestic battery causing harm with two or more previous convictions.) The defendant entered a guilty plea and is sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with credit for 150 days served. After release the defendant will serve four years of mandatory supervised release. There are no further court hearings set at this time.

Michael D. Wicker, 23CF36. (Six or more counts of aggravated driving/ dismissed by the state; driving with a revoked or suspended license; five counts of while under the influence.) The sentencing hearing has been moved to November 30, 2023. at 1:15 p.m.
Robert N. Roark, 22CF231. (Burglary) The first appearance with counsel on a hearing to revoke re-trial release was held today. The public defender was appointed and pre-trial was scheduled for Oct. 30, 2023. at 11 a.m.Brad D. Tolen, 23CF69 (Theft of display merchandise in the amount of $300 or less.) The defendant appeared in court today via a warrant. The defendant was released with condition and the next hearing is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on December 1, 2023.
