NOKOMIS/BUTLER -- The Nokomis Woman’s Club met on October 14 at the Nokomis City Park, then drove to Bremer Sanctuary in Butler, which is the Hickory Hills chapter of the Illinois Audubon Society. NOKOMIS -- The Nokomis Lions Club sponsored the 51st annual eighth grade Lions basketball tournament last week, which ran from November 1-5 in the Nokomis High School gym. Teams from Nokomis, Vandalia, Pana, Morrisonville, (Taylorville) Vision Way Christian, Hillsboro, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, and Shelbyville would participate in the tournament.
