Southwest Airlines gives furlough warning to almost 7,000 workers

DALLAS (UPI) -- Hindered by depressed demand for air travel, Southwest Airlines on Thursday gave furlough warnings to nearly 7,000 employees after a deal to cut wages by 10% next year stalled. The warning went out to 6,800 pilots, flight attendants, and other employees and union members. SAN FRANCISCO (UPI) -- Cloud computing company Salesforce acquired workplace chat app Slack in an agreement announced by the two companies Tuesday.
