U.S. warns Americans of possible ‘tainted’ alcohol in Mexico

Pestano, United Press International Writer WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of State has warned people traveling to Mexico about possibly tainted or substandard alcohol, and to drink responsibly after the death of a Wisconsin woman. The department on Wednesday updated its alerts and warnings page on Mexico, where travelers can find different information on embassies, local laws and visa requirements. 1 dead, several injured after ride malfunction at Ohio State Fair

Ray Downs, United Press International Writer COLUMBUS, Ohio (UPI) -- At least one man was killed and seven were injured after a ride malfunctioned at the Ohio State Fair Wednesday, authorities said. The Columbus Fire Division said the riders were thrown from the Fire Ball ride on Wednesday night, reported the Columbus Dispatch. The dead man was killed immediately, officials said.
