LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James agreed to a multiyear contract extension with the franchise Wednesday. James' agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group, told ESPN and The Athletic that James reached a two-year, $85 million extension with the Lakers. SAN FRANCISCO (UPI) -- Cloud computing company Salesforce acquired workplace chat app Slack in an agreement announced by the two companies Tuesday. MINNEAPOLIS (UPI) -- The Northwestern-Minnesota game scheduled for Saturday in Minneapolis has been called off because of COVID-19 issues within the Golden Gophers' football program.
