HILLSBORO -- The deadline to make payment on the second installment on Montgomery County property taxes is quickly approaching. County treasurer Nikki Lohman reminds county real estate taxpayers that the deadline to make the second installment is Friday, Sept. 4. Relocated NAHL team suspends operations for 2020-21 season

SHAWNEE, Kan. -- A second team in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) is opting to sit out the 2020-21 season. This comes from a joint press release Wednesday from the NAHL and the Kansas City Scouts. HILLSBORO -- Montgomery County is reporting its eighth COVID-19 death in the same week the first school student tests positive, as cases and positive tests tick upward.
