TAYLORVILLE — Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Cases were heard on Thursday, Nov. 30 and Friday, Dec. 1 by Fourth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Judge Brad Paisley. The following is a consolidated report of cases heard on both days:

Brent A. Woodall 23CF163. (Unlawful restraint; two counts of domestic battery making physical contact; criminal sexual assault without consent; aggravated battery to a victim over the age of sixty.) There was no plea agreement and the final pre-trial was scheduled for December 12, 2023 at 1:15 p.m. Jury trial is set for January 2, 2024. The next hearing is a preliminary hearing is set for December 11, 2023.
Dustin L. Durbin, 20CF106, 20CF175, 20CF266. (Possession of less than five grams of meth; theft with intent to control property worth between $500 to $10k.) Pre-trial was set for January 19, 2024.
Jacob B. Melton, 22CF257. (Theft of display merchandise in an amount less than $300 with a previous conviction.) Pre-trial has been continued to January 25, 2023.
Samantha C. Olivio, 22CF41, 22CF113, 22CF265, 23CF12. (Possession of meth in an amount under five grams/ served 262 days in jail with credit for four days served, thirty months of probation; robbery while armed with a firearm/ charge amended or reduced; robbery/ served 262 days in jail with credit for 131 days served, thirty months of probation; residential burglary; theft taking unauthorized control of a property worth between $500 and 10k; unlawful possession of a credit or debit card.) The petition to revoke the probation hearing has been continued to a possible plea hearing set for January 18, 2024.
Austin L. Mayes, 21CF252, 22CF228, 23CF5. (Two counts for aggravated battery of a peace officer; attempt to disarm a peace officer or corrections employee/ served 214 days in jail with credit for 107, forty-eight months of probation; home invasion causing an injury; two counts of domestic battery and making contact with two previous convictions/ unfit to stand trial.) There was a status hearing regarding standing no-contact orders. The defendant was ordered released from custody. The defendant has been declared fit to stand trial and ordered by the court to comply with probation. Pre-trial will be on January 19, 2024.
Michael O. Beck, 23CF174. (Aggravated domestic battery involving a strangle.) The first appearance was held today and the public defender was appointed. The preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 11, 2023.
Wade M. Bottoms, 23CF167. (Category two, armed violence; possession of five or less grams of meth.) The preliminary hearing was conducted and probable cause was found for the charges. Pre-trial was scheduled for January 30, 2024.
Jerald A. Buerk, 23CF32. (Theft of display merchandise in an amount under $300.) The final pre-trial will be on February 20, 2024 at 1:15 p.m. and the jury trial was set for March 4, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.
Jeremy R. Masters 21CF314. (Burglary/ served forty days in jail with credit for twenty. Serving two years of probation.) The petition to revoke probation pre-trial has been continued to a plea agreement on Dec. 8, 2023.
Joshua D. Foil, 22CF153 (Aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.) The negotiated plea was continued to January 18, 2024.
Charles E. Tucker, 21CF307, 22CF111. (Possession of five or less grams of meth/ dismissed by motion of the state.) There was a motion to expunge hearing today which was granted by the court.
