GREENVILLE — Greenville University recently announced a financial aid package that will cover the cost of tuition. This package will be available to all qualified Illinois residents.
Greenville University’s Illinois Allegiance program will highlight the institution’s commitment to providing the opportunity for a private Christian liberal arts education to Illinois students showing the greatest need.
“This is amazing for students that want to attend [Greenville University],” said David Kessinger, director of financial aid. “It fills a financial aid gap to give them the opportunity to attend.”
“It gives resources to students who need it most,” Kessinger adds. “[This allows] them to experience a transforming education at Greenville.”
“Greenville University continues to break down barriers to help students realize that a private Christian education is affordable,” said Victoria Clark, chief enrollment officer.
“We can’t wait to see how this initiative impacts our campus culture,” Clark adds. “We look forward to graduating more students that impact the world through Christ-like character and service.”
Greenville University will cover a qualifying freshman or transfer student’s full cost of tuition not covered by existing financial aid options. Illinois Allegiance will serve as a gap filler for any funding that federal, state, institutional, and private awards will not cover.
To qualify, an incoming freshman or transfer student must be a U.S. citizen, an Illinois resident, must apply and be accepted by Greenville University, completed the most recent FAFSA form for financial aid, qualifies for both the federal Pell Grant and the state Monetary Award Program grant, and have an Expected Family Contribution of 3500 or less.
