Champaign announces Fifth St., Kirby Ave. closures

CHAMPAIGN — The City of Champaign will close one block of Fifth Street and part of Kirby Avenue for road work. Fifth Street will close between Daniel Street and Chalmers Street near campus. The department responded to a single-family residence that exploded and caught fire in the 2700 block of Judith Drive on Sunday afternoon. Parkland to increase tuition rates 4.2 percent

CHAMPAIGN -- The Parkland College Board of Trustees voted to approve an increase of tuition and fees starting with the Summer 2025 term. The board approved an increase of 4.2 percent to both tuition and fees for in-district students. DECISION 2024: Champaign County to vote on two local measures

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- Voters in Champaign County will soon decide on a ballot measure on November 5 that seeks to double the existing public safety sales tax.
