Taylorville, Christian County police blotter
TAYLORVILLE — The following has been reported by the Taylorville Police Department and the Christian County Sheriff’s Department for the period of November 13-17, 2023 and are as follows:
Taylorville Police – Arrests
Nov. 13: Robert Burke, 42, Taylorville, was arrested on an active warrant.
Nov. 15: Janis K. Baird, age 60, of Taylorville was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.
Nov. 16: Steven D. Leonard, age 44, of Taylorville was arrested for Domestic Battery.
Nov. 17: Garret L. Austin, age 56, of Taylorville was arrested for Fleeing and Eluding.
CCSD – Accidents
Nov. 13: A vehicle driven by Devin Jenkins, no age or address reported, was westbound on 500N Road in Ricks Township when a deer ran into the road and hitting the car in the front driver side. No one was injured, but the vehicle was towed from the scene.
CCSD – Arrests
Nov. 15: Ericka Thompson, no age or address reported, was arrested by deputies on an active failure to appear in court warrant for criminal damage to property.
