SHELBYVILLE — The Shelby County Health Department will be holding an adult wellness clinic on Monday, Feb. 6. The clinic will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Cholesterol, glucose, hemoglobin (anemia), and blood pressure screenings will be available at this clinic. People wishing to participate should not eat or drink after midnight on the night before the tests.
This clinic is available by appointment only if you wish to participate in any of these tests.
There is no cost for either the blood pressure or glucose screenings. However, there is a $10 fee for the hemoglobin tests, and there is a $25 fee for a full lipid profile which includes the glucose screening.
For questions about the upcoming clinic, contact the Shelby County Health Department at (217) 774-9555 or by dropping by their office at 1700 W.S. Third St. The health department’s hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
